Chaiten Volcano Crisis - Help the Town of Futaleufu Through H2O Patagonia
As many of you have surely heard Volcan Chaiten in Patagonia, Chile erupted over the weekend spewing ashes for miles, and leading to the evacuation of the inhabitants of Chaiten (our port of entry thru Chile) and covering the town of Futaleufu (our home-base) with 3 inches of volcanic ash, contaminating water supplies, endangering livestock and animals--with devastating effect on the flora and fauna of the region.
The town has yet to be evacuated but the needs as you can
imagine are many. We plan to private charter in food and water supplies to the town over this week – weather and air quality permitting. H2O Patagonia is accepting donations right through this website for this cause and would greatly appreciate your financial assistance for a town in need.
You can make your donation via Pay Pal or credit card by using the form below.
No donation is too small, US$1 is the minimum for Paypal to process.
We will ensure that your donated funds are properly distributed in the most cost effective way to assist the people of Futaleufu.
We are happy to report that all of the H2O Patagonia staff and their families are safe and sound in Futaleufu! You can send any of them
personal messages by clicking here.
